PROJECTS

A BIBLE OF THEIR OWN!

During camp in July of 2016, God whispered to us, “They need a Bible of Their Own.”  Thus began a new endeavor to present each child who attends camp during our mission trip in the summer of 2017 with a Modern English Version Study Bible along with classes on how to study God's Word and use Bible dictionaries, concordances, commentaries, and other reference materials.

Your gift of $10 can help make it all possible! Please contact us to be a part of this exciting new project.

CHILDREN'S CHURCH CAMP

Constant Spring Christian Service Camp, Kingston, Jamaica

What would summer be without summer camp?  Many children in Jamaica look forward to going to camp just like children in the US.  Church camp is a great opportunity to make new friends, do fun activities and most of all hear about how much God loves you.  With the help of our supporters, Caribbean Children’s Ministries partners with Constant Spring Christian Service Camp to offer this exciting opportunity to as many Jamaican children as possible. We help with the purchase of food, supplies, utilities, and scholarships for children who can’t afford the camp fee.  The children who attend this camp come from many communities on the island.  Some are regular church attenders and have attended camp many times, but for some it is a whole new experience.   CCM also brings mission teams to help facilitate this camp.  This short term mission trip is a blessing to the team member as much as the children they serve.

SHORT TERM MISSION TRIP

Kingston, Jamaica

Each summer Caribbean Children’s Ministries trains and takes teams to help with the children’s summer camp described above.

Upon arrival at the mission in Jamaica, the first team will be working with campers age 9 to 12 and will be doing a variety of tasks. In addition to serving as counselors in groups of children, each member of the team will teach classes, assist with hand craft, wash many dishes, perform skits, lead devotions, lead music, etc. If there are any musicians on the team they will also have the chance to play instruments.  The second team will repeat these responsibilities with campers ages 13 to 17.

The "Trip Introduction" document (available under the “Mission Trip tab) has exact dates, the cost, and all the details of being part of one of these teams this coming summer.

FUTURE PLANS

We feel led to continue to expand our ministry in Jamaica.  In the coming years we hope to not only take teams to help with children’s Christian summer camp, but pursue more avenues to be Christ’s hands and feet in ways that will bring children to know him.

SPONSORED CHILDREN

I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.

Matthew 25:40

During each stay in Jamaica our attention is drawn to children who have suffered tragedy and misfortune and are in need of help. We have informally begun to sponsor these children by communicating with their pastors and supplying clothing, shoes and school items. These items have been purchased with CCM donations or donated directly to CCM for this purpose.  We hope in the near future to be able to create an official sponsorship program linking children with donors who will help with their needs as well as partner with them in prayer.
